My sister (Carol Burke Peterson) just sent your web site address. You've done a great job. I haven't seen Aunt Arlene for several years. She still looks the same. Also, I recognize some of my Howell cousins and it's probably been over 30 years (at least) since I've seen them. Everyone looks great! Keep up the good work!!!!
The cousins I remember most were Donna, Jeanne, Virgie, Ted and Ray (only because he had red hair). I recognized some of the sisters that were older than Donna, but don't remember their names. We moved from that area in 1964 and really haven't kept in touch w/family. Although, I was able to take mom a few times to see your grandmother (Ella). She reminds me so much of grandma (Burke) Minard in her later years. Jeanne was the same age as Carol. I'm about 2 years older than Carol.
Do you have any pictures of all the Howell cousins? Talk about bringing back memories. It's been a long time. There are times that we think of retiring back in that area. The cost of living would be a lot cheaper than California. We live in the Sacramento area. Larry works for the Folsom Dam and I work for Placer County in Auburn. Better close and get ready for tomorrow. Take Care. Love, Alice
(Yes Alice, I have lots of pictures of the Howell cousins. I'll have them here as soon as I get a chance to do some more scanning. Since I'm retired, that should be pretty soon. Thanks. . . Dan)
Love your Howell/Burke site....Great pictures too. It's hard to believe all those good looking people are my cousins. Jeannie is quite the artist. Our grandbaby girl arrived last Monday the 9th - I've been in Wichita helping our daughter. "Congratulations to the 2 of you on your marriage." Carol
(Congratulations Carol, on the arrival of your new grandaughter!....Dan)
New news, old news, pictures, birthdays, gossip (no vicious or malicious stuff please), updates, corrections, e-mail addresses, favorite web links.... Stuff!
I'll bet some of you got some good stuff at the reunion. Cough it up! Share with those of us who couldn't be there. I can have it on here the day I receive it unless I'm out playing or something. But please be assured that the purpose of this web page is to share, not embarrass people. I mean, honest! Cross my heart! If I had a still picture of Barbara in that green mud mask from back in 1992, I wouldn't even put that on here. Really!
All our love to everyone.... Dan & Sherri
